8mm Film Transfer to DVD Demo

How to prepare your film for transfer

Actual DVD will run smoother than video below

Many people attempt this themselves or entrust a friend or relative to the task. It usually ends with mixed  results. Much of the equipment available, and affordable for the do-it-your-selfer is simply not capable of producing professional quality results. Pair that with technical inexperience... and you get,... well, not always what you expected, or were hoping for...

We offer Broadcast Quality, straight optical to digital chain signal on DVD,

resulting in the finest film transfer available!

Our rates are the same now as they were in 1983!

One unit is one minute of transferred film, and costs $1.00

So, a one hour DVD costs only $60.00 to have produced!

Film that is washed out, black, blank or otherwise unviewable and lasts more than ten seconds is deleted.

So you don't have to pay for... and watch bad footage!

To make an order, begin by numbering your film reels,  in the sequential (normally chronological) order that you want them to appear on your DVD.

Next, estimate the total time of your film footage.

3" reels = 3 minutes

5" reels = 15 minutes

7" & 8" reels = 30 minutes

After calculating the total number of minutes,  click here or from our HomePage on Film to DVD Transfer and order the number of units equal to the estimated minutes + $10.00 for each additional copy.

THAT'S IT!

Remember, you will only pay for the amount of minutes of running time that ends up on your DVD!

If you order 70 units, and your DVD ends up being only 50 minutes long, you will be credited back... or refunded $20.00

If, on the other hand, you order 40 units and send 80 minutes of film, transfer will stop after 40 minutes and you will be notified by email and given the choice to order more units/time or returned your film and DVD where the transfer was halted.

In order to prevent such from happening, it is better to  slightly over estimate than under estimate.

A normal DVD will hold 1 hour of programs. (mpeg 4)

Insurance is included in the shipping charge for up to

$250.00 !

Geo-Video Productions  is proud of the fact they have never

 lost or destroyed customer's film(s).

Hardluck Charlies Liquidators Mall  is a proud eBay store and

We know how much families treasure these films, and the responsibility

of making sure of their safe keeping is never lost upon us. It is an honor

for us to do this important work and rewarding beyond the money..,

when we hear of families reactions when viewing their old home movies

for the first time.

So please, rest assured your films will be well taken care of.  Have them transferred before it is too late.

As  time is passing them by, many of the old films are becoming brittle, and thus more difficult to transfer.  Eventually, they will become impossible to save, unless  action is taken.

We say this not because we want your money. But in true sincere concern for families and preserving the living history they each uniquely contain through motion pictures called "home movies".

Thank you for reading all this, we hope it will lead you to action.
